While developing the video concept, we knew one thing right away: we don’t want to explain Art of Surface. We want to make it tangible. Tommaso isn’t just the face of the brand and its work; he is the work. His philosophy, precision, and calm focus live in the way he designs, chooses material, and makes decisions. That’s why the film concentrates on him, not the product.

Our approach was to create a design-focused hero video that translates his philosophy into atmosphere. Unfolding from the gentle rhythm of a Düsseldorf city morning to the silence of his studio, the narrative moves slowly, giving room to think and feel. Nothing is staged. It’s simply him, his words, and the way he approaches his work.

We built the film primarily around the physical moments: hands in cement, tools meeting surface, light moving across textures. These details mirror Tommaso’s way of working as it is: irreversible and intentional. Ultimately, the piece communicates why Art of Surface exists: to create calm, ordered spaces through reduction and craftsmanship.
